TRIUMPH TR2 aluminium petrol / fuel tank

The picture above clearly shows the quality of this lovely TR2 tank. With increased baffling over the original tank, it has the same threaded fittings and should be a straight replacement for that standard tank. Fitted with high quality sender unit mount (comes with x6 stainless fasteners and new gasket), breather, outlet and drain plug.

TRIUMPH TR3 / 3A (pre 60000) aluminium petrol / fuel tank

This is the best quality aluminium TR3 / 3A tank (pre 60000) available. I would happily compare it to any others available. It has the same threaded fittings and would be a straight replacement for that standard tank.

It is fitted with high quality sender unit mount which is a machined boss welded in place on the inside. All of the other TR tanks available from other suppliers do not have this and instead have the mount stamped out of the base metal which will then leak. It comes with x6 stainless fasteners and new gasket.

There is also a correct type of breather, outlet and drain plug.

TRIUMPH TR4 / TR4A / TR5 / TR6 aluminium petrol / fuel tank

These tanks are available in standard or large size, and, carb or fuel injected.

This tank is without doubt the best quality TR tank on the market. To quote a recent customer "The quality of other aluminium petrol tanks do not even come close to the ones you are making."

At 52 litre capacity it has a greater volume than the standard tank, has improved baffling, and has an anti surge reservoir to reduce the possibility of fuel pump cavitation with low fuel level. It has the three connections (threaded as per the original) which are the fuel supply (larger bore than standard), return from the pressure relief valve, and return from the metering unit. There is also a nice aluminium drain plug fitted. It is a direct replacement for the standard tank.

The sender unit mount is a rigid boss welded into place rather than being stamped out of the base metal as on some inferior tanks, which then suffer leakage problems. A standard sender unit will fit and the six bolts to hold it in place are provided. Includes sender gasket.

On TR6 tanks there is a small profiled section to allow for the fitting of the car's boot light (not shown on above picture of TR5 tank).

TRIUMPH TR4, TR5, and TR6 race / rally tank, safety foam filled.

This is an FIA and MSA compliant, safety foam filled tank to suit the TR4, TR5, and TR6 models. The tank has the features described above and is ready to accept a VDO dip tube type sender unit. The best available!

TRIUMPH TR7/8 aluminium fuel petrol gas tank

These aluminium tanks are a straight swap for the standard steel tank. Please see the pictures showing the quality.

They are fully baffled, allow the correct sender unit to be used, and have a capacity of 71 litres over the standard 55 litres. There is also a drain plug added which the standard tank didn't have.

TRIUMPH TR7/8 Fuel Injected

This is the same as the standard tank described above but modified for fuel injection. I have designed this tank so that it can be used in the best form which is with an in line fuel pump rather than having a fuel pump mounted within the tank.

There is a correct shaped chamber, designed to prevent cavitation, within the tank from which the fuel is supplied. There is then a return back into the tank and that chamber.

The tanks normally have either -6 AN (Aeroquip style) fittings or a push on type.
