Long Range FIA aluminium fuel / petrol tank to suit E Type Jaguar.

I am making high quality long range aluminium fuel tanks to suit race E Types or lightweight replicas. They are safety foam filled and eligible for FIA events, and are copies of examples fitted to original race cars.

The capacity is approx 120 litres.

The best version of the tank uses the 3 1/2" alloy fuel cap which protrudes through the rear boot lid. The neck to the cap is riveted. The internals of the foam filled tank are designed to allow quick refuelling. The tank can be fitted with a sender unit if required.

Normally when a flat topped tank has fittings welded to it, that panel then distorts and can then let the appearance of the tank down. Therefore I have wheeled some shape onto the top panel of this tank and it's appearance is without doubt the best available.

The fuel pick up sits in a lower sump (with the drain plug).  The design ensures a constant fuel supply during cornering and acceleration.

The sump is designed to be protected from road debris, or stones from a race circuit's gravel trap, by an aluminium cover.  

These are the best available in both design and construction.

Other versions of the tank can have the filler cap within the boot.

Another option is to have the tank slightly lower in height (and thus capacity) so that it can be covered with the boot cover.
